AST 1.0m Ku band flyaway antenna system are designed to provide high speed stow and deploy through its simple and robust structure and light weight material.
The reflector is composed of four panels, use fast-lock speed connection thus avoiding the need of installation tools. Az/El adjustment can be locked, El adjustment is by fast-tune and fine-tuning combined in one device to facilitate the operation. The support can be deployed flexibly, the whole structure of the antenna is designed to be easy to disassemble and assemble with features including all antenna reflector panels packed in 1 cloth bay, all of parts packed into an aluminum alloy case with light weight and high stability.
The antenna has been designed to be airline checkable and can be field assembled and operational in less than 5 minutes by one person. No tools are required to setup or disassemble the antenna.
